SHARROW ILLUMINATED LANTERN CARNIVAL, SHEFFIELD
Annual event held on a Sunday in April. The lanterns escape from
Highfield Trinity Church at 19:00, and into Mount Pleasant Park. Procession at
20:00, led by samba drummers. Route: Vincent Road, Sharrow Lane, London Road,
Lansdowne Estate and Cemetery Road. Fiery finale with music and dancing at
Sheffield General Cemetery. If you would like to help out, you will be made very welcome.
