NATIONAL SPEED TRIALS, BRIGHTON
Annual event held on a Saturday, early in September. 10:00-18:00 Madeira Drive. Motor cycles and cars of all vintages, race against the stopwatch, in the direction of the Marina. There is a charge of about £10 to enter the paddock, but viewing from the upper level, Marine Parade is free, and most spectacular. The event was started in 1905 when Brighton Motor Week took place. Run under the regulations of the RAC Motor Sport Association, speeds can reach 160mph on the quarter mile course. Video1 Video2 More: National Speed Trials
